Cho Ray Hospital, a central general hospital, has long been a trusted address for medical examination and treatment for the people of the South as well as the entire country. The hospital was established in 1900 under the name Hospital Municipal de ChoLon Saigon. The hospital was founded on the market land of the Chinese community called Cho Ray, hence the people in the South have become accustomed to the name Cho Ray, which has become the official name of the hospital to this day.

With over a hundred years of formation and development, Cho Ray Hospital currently has more than 1,800 hospital beds, an average of 2,544 inpatients, and 3,500 outpatient visits daily. Currently, 3,322 techniques have been approved and applied.
